There's more to watching anime than just critical analysis

Holy shit, people piss me off when they say things like "Ugh, this season only has 1 good show". Take a look at everything airing right now. Done? How many of those do you think are going to be well written? Probably 2 or 3 will be above average, right? Does this mean that those are the only things worth watching? No. There are so so many shows this season that are absolutely worth watching because they're entertaining.

Any anime ever could be entertaining for anyone. Some people might find School Day enjoyable or even Mars of Destruction very entertaining. But does that mean those shows are worth watching? Not so much. It depend on the show.

Of course many people simply just watch anime for enjoyment and there are many other people that look for more than just enjoyment. Whatever float your boat.

They may not change our lives with mind blowing themes or well written characters, but at the end of the day, anime is a medium primarily made for entertainment

That's wrong. Anime is a medium primarily made for making money. Second is entertainment. Entertainment is meant to be judge.

There are so so many shows this season that are absolutely worth watching because they're entertaining. and I think a lot of us have forgotten this.

Not really. Many people watch anime for different reasons. Some watch it casually, other not so much.

Don't go around and say that we all shouldn't watch Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku because it takes place in school, the bane of all intellectual thought.

1 year down the line when someone ask you for a recommendation. 99% sure that this anime will not pop up in your head.

We shouldn't watch Kekkai Sensen because.... wait why am I not supposed to watch this again? My point is that there's more to anime than just the writing.
