There's something very weirdly funny that the "specialness" of Brock Lesnar has worn off and now we have this big dude show up with a weird belt every 3 months who doesn't get an out of the ordinary reaction.

Basically. The WWE's trained financial team has reviewed this and decided he's worth millions of dollars every year. Most people here don't see an extra 3 million viewers when he has a segment and dismiss him as useless.

Brock Lesnar is a box office draw. Many people will be more inclined to buy tickets if he's on the show, that's a fact. There are also tons of lapsed fans and even MMA fans that will hear Brock Lesnar wrestling whoever and be interested. There's also his legitimacy and image as a shoot fighter, which is something WWE definitely loves about having him at the top. Being able to put him on posters, in commercials, as a face of the WWE brand is a big asset to them because of how recognizable he is.

There's also the boltload of data they have (and analyze) that we don't, like website traffic, demographics, Network viewership, and most importantly: merchandise. Anyone who's been to a show recently knows how much Brock merch you see. Why else is there a new Suplex City shirt in EVERY town they go to? Because people buy them like crazy. I currently hate the man but I bought the Brooklyn one the night after SummerSlam last year. That shirt alone making so much damn money is a big reason why he's been slapping the piss out of everybody for the last few years.

Oh, and he still gets huge reactions.
