The argument is that there are countless German soldiers who followed orders because that is what a soldier does - and the alternative? To be considered a traitor and killed?

Admirable sure. If you would do it - great for you! But most people w a gun pointed at them want a shot at survival.

All we are saying is that a lot of innocent people died on both sides. You don’t have to agree but if you talk w many Germans - many of them had family who fought and died and they had no idea what it was really about. All they saw was the economy rebounding - that they could afford to eat. Remember, at one point after WW1 it was cheaper for them to burn German marks for heat vs buying coal.

It’s not so black and white. And if you knew about WW2 as you say then you would realize that.
