These bad mother's day stories are killing me. Here's my tips for making yours a success

Wish my husband read this…had my first Mother’s Day this year after just giving birth and my husband planned nothing and gifted me flowers (the same gift he gave his mom). That day he kept asking me what I wanted to do and eat, which is what happens any other day. I’m tired and keep our household together, take care of our newborn, and just went back to work after a short maternity leave. Please don’t make me think on Mother’s Day, and please don’t leave dishes for me to clean up. I still feel like my husband put no thought or effort into what a milestone that day was for me. After reading this post I now think he probably views Mother’s Day as something the kids do for their moms and he doesn’t have to do anything.
