These kids are our future

In contrast, I am the closest thing to an Ex-Scot that you might find. I moved to England as a teen, and became an adult here. I love Scotland. I love my people. I love our passion and our history, but;

I also love England. My friends, family, career and life are all the way they are because of this country and they are all better for it.

Most of those people I know here feel the same as I do in the sense that they are grossly misunderstood and misrepresented.

Not a one of the people I hold dear (who are predominantly English) however, think that a child should go ever go hungry in the 5th largest economy in the world.

Frankly, I love England. I want it to be great. I want it to be so with the rest of the world. I want it to grow and prosper, but I don't want it to be that at the expense of anyone or another country - certainly not at the expense of families with children.

Nobody saw 2020 coming, and if they did it would never be the fault of the children who happen to endure it.

As always, it is never really the people that cause the issues, but rather the people who govern them.

Tldr: England isn't the problem.

We're all being fucked, and we're all the same. If you want to be angry, be angry at those who will insist by law your children won't be fed, because frankly it will never be a child's fault. Ever.

Personally, I hope in my lifetime I get to see some kind of Celtic Republic. Unified Ireland, Scotland & Northern England - Joined by common factors that should (with work) unite us.
