Medicare at least Medicaid covers vision and dental to a limited extent. Medicaid doesn’t cover root canals for example.

I do agree that vision and dental should be fully covered under a universal healthcare plan. I used those as examples of something that has limited benefits.

The point I was trying to make in my last post is that there will have to be some services that universal healthcare doesn’t cover. For example, IVF and fertility treatments shouldn’t covered under a universal healthcare system. Both of these are non essential services that should be paid for out of pocket. Trying to cover anything and everything is unrealistic and would strain the system. What isn’t covered is still up for debate. The NHS and other healthcare systems don’t cover everything.
