But last year had enough picks that people thought could be good qbs. Maybe not even great but solid. If darnold turns out to be good to very good and the giants dont hit until tua and at that point it is still that same coin flip you mentioned then you wasted most of saquans career.

And a good to very good darnold is more impactful that generational saquan.

Not to mention the last like 3 drafts had "generational"running backs.

The dude is insane, say he even becomesthe best ever, but a middle of the pack qb still does more for a team. What if tua is the only projected really solid qb in the next two years but the giants win 5 games in that season and dont get a chance for tua? I think giants need a qb, i think darnold on the table is better than anything we know of now, and a better odds of being good qb than anyone listed as coming out in the next few years.
