These two boys had been exposed to the same smallpox source. One had been vaccinated, the other hadn't.

Here’s a question to ponder a bit.

Let’s look at hysteria surrounding vaccines with two scenarios.

1) someone chooses to not get a flu shot. How do people judge this person? They don’t care. Yet the flu kills 35 thousand people a year. Elderly, pregnant people, and it spreads quickly and kills many.

2) Someone doesn’t get their kid a measles vaccine. How do people judge this person? Extreme harsh criticism and explosive judgment. When measles has killed less than a few people in the US in the last 20 year (all of which have had other complications). Is not nearly as lethal as it used to be with modern treatment, and has been almost completely eradicated despite he fact that a large portion of the population are not immunized towards it.

So my question is, why do you believe their is such harsher judgment socially for the person opting out of the measles vaccine than the flu vaccine when the flu literally kills over 30 thousand people a year and measles is not killing anyone (in the us)?
