Thierry Henry about PSG: “I have the feeing this club is managed more like a company rather than a football club”

Huh? Running a club purely like a company would mean spending as little as possible while ensuring the club stays in the top division & stays in the champions league to maintain the highest payouts, always looking for high value players and smart coaching that gets the most out of players relative to their wages, to spend the least possible that will still maintain the same revenue.

PSG does maybe the opposite of that. Imagine a random company pouring obscene amounts of its owners’/shareholders’ money into overpriced asset after overpriced asset, ending each year massively in the red, with no real attempt at digging into the culture or strategy needed to succeed as a company, just to try to improve the company owners’ ego and have a cool brand. PSG might be the least run like a company of any club, right…?
