Thin people don't understand physics

OK, SO, I'm officially 50lbs down according to my doctor, to 250lbs. I started at 300lbs last year around March. I've lost 11lbs since the last appointment three months ago. If I hadn't had a bunch of festivals and parties to attend it probably would've been a lot faster, but there was no gain at all, just some plateauing. My doctor wants me to get to 200lbs, though my eventual goal is at least 180, maybe 175 (if not lower... the BMI calc says I could hit 145 and TECHNICALLY be within normal range, but definitely not going that low, don't worry)

My blood pressure is 112/70. I can't remember what it was when I started but it was definitely pre-hypertension stage. Weight has definitely helped that, as well as some of the working out I've done.

Suffice to say, my doc was VERY pleased with my progress, enough so he tried to get me to pass out business cards to people I'd talk to about it (at which his receptionist rolled her eyes when he walked to the back and I rolled mine as well... she and I share a sarcastic bond like that). While we were in his exam room he actually asked if anyone has commented but I basically said I do a sort of pre-emptive move to cut that sort of thing off, otherwise I do get "OMG U MUST BE STARVING URSELF!".

Outside of the visit, I can say I've lost 7 inches off of my gut. I used to be 54 inches around but am now down to 47 inches. Shirts I've had for a while which last year I couldn't even button I can pull together in front with a significant overlap and can actually button them up now (I need new shirts though... aside from fitting ones these are just really old).

So, I'm pretty pleased at how things have gone.
