i report a lot in different conflict zones around the world, and i have to say i have never heard dumber takes in my life than on podcasts like red scare/chapo/true anon when it comes to anything happening internationally. american pundents are so fucking bad at this and it really shows when they talk about anything outside of america, i would love for them to take just a bit of the money they make from talking shit in BK and visit Ukraine/armenia/syria just once, it really isnt that hard or expensive. but i guess it goes back to their listeners, as a mostly american audience everything has to be america focused or caused by america (good or bad) and therefore america has to be the lead character in all conflicts otherwise why talk about it. this to me is one of the most insidious types of american exceptionalism that remain and is very pervasive among left pundits online
