Not that there's anything wrong with that. Lots of guys use up their emotional availability. The guy I'm seeing now definitely texts me some wildly cute stuff on Saturday then nothing for days. It kind of annoys me but I try to use it as a growth opportunity. Why do I need him to text me that? So I can feel like we're on the same page, that he still likes me, etc. But he's told me we're on the same page. So we're on the same page end of story, until he tells me otherwise.

He calls me when he says he will and he's not going to disappear. So why the fuck should I work myself up because I got heart emojis on Saturday and nothing on Tuesday? What's the simplest solution? Either he is busy and doesn't want to get wrapped up in a distracting conversation or he used up his emotional availability and is scared that if he's texting me like that every day I'll be expecting types of commitment from him that he's not sure if he'll be able to give me.

The simplest solution to either of those is do nothing.
