Things haven't changed much. From "UFO: the Complete Sightings" by Peter Brookesmith published in 1995

Well, yea. That's not the only one. "Too shaky" is good enough to discredit a video, but so is "too smooth." In reality, some people know how to hold a camera and some don't, so you expect both.

Even if that's not good enough to debunk it, all you do is find an expected coincidence in the case or in the photograph or in the witness. We have actual examples of highly convincing debunks that turned out to be totally false, and mutually exclusive debunks that can't possibly be true at the same time, yet if only one of them was present, it would be plenty to cast doubt on it, and even if you see both in the same thread, you don't realize they're mutually exclusive.

People are waiting for the perfect photo or video. Perfectly smooth, yet with shaky undertones. Perfectly clear, yet with just the right hint of blurriness. No coincidences. No military bases nearby. And two unrelated people have to capture this on film. No scratches on the photo that could possibly be a string. Both witnesses don't have any hobbies or occupations that could cast doubt (model making, messing with VFX 2 years ago, works as a special effects artist). Both witnesses give their full name and don't upload anonymously because they're afraid of being called hoaxers and losing their friends, jobs, etc. If it's a video, if the UFO moves in a strange way, just like witnesses describe them, then it's obviously fake. Etc, etc. Essentially, the debunker has carved out an impossibility for acceptable footage, even though genuine footage would have some kind of imperfection somewhere, probably more than one.

Real videos and photos are going to be "debunked," period. The clearer examples must be labeled hoaxes because they can be nothing else. Therefore, anyone posting relatively clear videos and photos must be posting hoaxes, and are therefore gullible hoax believers to be ridiculed.

Here are like 500 photos. Archive 1. Keep clicking 'next' to scroll through the archive, or mess around with the menu on the side to sort them. Archive 2, Archive 3, Archive 4, Archive 5, Archive 6.
