Things reddit loves to hate on starterpack

Hence why I talked about it in terms of the "general reddit hivemind". Yes, reddit contains a lot of different viewpoints, but the beauty of the upvoting algorithm is that it makes it very clear when a general preponderance of those millions of people all think the same thing. It's not an indictment of any one redditor, but of the general idea of a community of redditors, whose response to a vast array of issues is very predictable, especially when looking at demographics.

Along those same lines, despite being millions of different people with plenty of conflicting values, one incredibly common response, almost down to the exact phrasing, when someone makes a comment about the general behavior of reddit, is someone coming out and saying that reddit is made up of millions of different people who think different things.
