Thinking About Getting a Surface 3 - Any Suggestions?

I just got mine about a week ago and love it; it has definitely changed my productivity in many ways. It's lightweight, compact, rugged, fast, powerful, and just overall useful if you're coming from any tradition laptop for media/student use (no heavy gaming/editing of course that's a different story). It may not be the laptop/tablet for everyone, but I'm still shocked at how it's is just so fitting for me. An issue with tablets today is that they tend to run mobile OS's which sucks for any power user who prefers the full customization and control of desktop OS's, luckily Microsoft has solved that and created an amazing equilibrium (the Windows 8 Metro app is still there for those who want the tablet style simplicity).

I did some research and figured, if I'm going to buy this Surface Pro 3 to replace my shitty Toshiba Satellite that barely lasted 3 semesters, I'm going to spoil myself and get the best accessories I can and hope it lasts throughout the next few years as an undergrad. So with that in mind, I got the i5 256GB 8GB SP3 and said what the hell and added the 124GB MicroSD Card from SanDisk that's recommended by Microsoft. I didn't stop there, I also ordered the Urban Armor Gear Black Rugged case (reminds me of my Otterbox on my iPhone so I don't have to be careful with handling it 24/7) and a TechArmor Matte Screen Protector since I hate cleaning fingerprints every 5 seconds. Because there's only 1 USB port I knew I had to upgrade from my Wireless USB Mouse, so I went ahead and got the Bluetooth Arc Mouse (Surface Edition) to match the black Type Cover, it's so easy to take in and out of my bag and feels like a high quality mouse worth the price tag.

The things I don't like about the Surface would be that the Pen can be buggy and the nib (tip) wears fast. I'm still not adjusted to the keyboard and my thumb keeps hitting the touchpad when I'm typing which messes up my entries. I hate how it may overheat, but I guess that can also be a sign to take a break and let it rest lol. The type cover feels great, but I hate how the touchpad needs to be on top of a flat surface to use properly, it's hard to explain but it's minor. I do have some scaling issues in some software but it just takes some getting used to and I'm not in a rush to adjust it.

Pro's would include the usual that everyone's saying, I don't think I need to add to it lol. It just feels and works great, all it takes is a few days of using it to see if it's right for you and you'll probably love it too.
