Third semester in and I’m still clueless

Thanks for the great in-depth response, I really appreciate redditors/humans like you.

The thing is, the higher end jobs you listed like healthcare/tech/engineering are jobs that I would have to force and grind myself into... my biggest fear is that I work hard for that job and can’t stand it. College is ridiculously expensive and i feel like I’m taking a gamble with my valuable time and money pursuing something I might not like. Being a doctor sounds cool as it’s high paying and they are well respected in society, but I wouldn’t want to do it for 10 years or better yet 30-40 years until I “retire”.

Truthfully, my dream is to be a MMA fighter (this career path is dangerous, risky, very hard, and success/money are not guaranteed) the odds of me making a living from this would be hard and I would need to physically and mentally grind harder then probably 99.9% of the other career fields. I think it is somewhat realistic because I consider myself athletic and have experience from other martial arts. I also love MMA interviews, news, any type of media related to MMA I am addicted to because I love the sport. If I ever pursued professional MMA I would also be smart enough to have a back up career because I’ve never really been in a fight fight lol.

Once again, thank you for your advice. Infinetly more helpful then my burnt out school counselors/teachers :)
