Third time killing Gettle ...

After a certain distance, the main pellet splits into three pellets that travel in a horizontal pattern. The gun deals quite a bit of damage if you can manage to get all three of the pellets to hit the same crit spot on an enemy. (To do this, you would have to find just the right distance between you and the enemy for the pellets to have just started to split, but ever so slightly. That way they're still separated, but also close enough together to potentially land on the same spot.)

Aside from that, the gun also has a critical hit damage modifier, very high fire rate, and a large magazine size. So yeah, the Lyuda is widely recognized as being one of the best sniper rifles in the game, along with the Pimpernel.
