Is it tho?

First mistake is thinking Chris is interested in dating or a conventional relationship. Secondly is implying being trans should ever be anything about ulterior intention rather than a part of identity. I respect trans people because identity is important, ingrained in one's experiences and how one is comfortable in moving through life. Once you toss intention, motives, and choice into the situation that's when it starts to get muddy.

I think it's a bit insulting to those who found a more comfortable identity in the gender they weren't biologically born as to imply that Chris, someone who doesn't have the capacity to care about their own place in the real world, someone who isn't in touch with reality, someone who actively chose to "become trans" with an ulterior motive, is actually trans. Like I don't get mad at people who choose to call them by any other pronouns but that's because Chris very clearly doesn't actually care what you call them. It's not like that for Chris it's wasted breath to even debate it.

It also lends undue credence to people who make arguments about transgenderism being simply a tool for predators.
