Ok that could make sense but the thing is in the Quran Allah has said he will cause Jesus AS to die. Now this particular translation is a bit off but let me explain.

The word mutawaffeeka means “I will cause you to die”. Whenever God is the fa’il (subject) and man is the maf’ul (object), it always refers to death. It means that God takes the soul of the man. In this case, it applies to Jesus AS which in turn means that he has passed away. In Surah 3 verse 55 the word tawaffaa is used again to mean death.

The thing is that Quran is Allahs word so if it has stated that Jesus AS is dead, then we have to take the hadiths as metaphorical because Quran is above hadith.
