Um…holy shit. A really weird update to this story is just starting to make the rounds, so other threads have surely been posted, but whatever — this is something that will make huge waves in the scientific community, let alone everywhere else.

It's being reported that…OK, I'll just quote the article.. "In a paradoxical and baffling turn of events, multiple sources are reporting that the other band — the source of the concurrent sound check — was none other than Atoms for Peace, the Yorke-led group, that released their first album, AMOK, in 2012. ACL management initially interpreted this as a prank, wherein fans or a tribute band had snuck into one of the adjacent stages dressed as members of Atoms for Peace. However, a PR contact at ACL has confirmed that a confrontation between the two bands bore out the much more alarming conclusion that it appears that both bands, by all appearances, seem legitimately real. "The two Yorkes, except for the different clothes, are indistinguishable," claimed an anonymous witness to the confrontation.

The ACL grounds are temporarily closed and anonymous sources have claimed that President Obama and James Comey arrived on the scene shortly after the initial confrontation. A bystander who managed to witness Thom Yorke, of Radiohead, encountering what appeared to be Thom Yorke, of Atoms for Peace, alleged that the former Yorke was momentarily aghast but had the presence of mind to briefly continue his performance of "Decks Dark," which, conveniently enough, had stopped just before Yorke was set to sing, "You gotta' be kidding me." This same line was reportedly murmured by Yorke in a hushed tone of wonderment.
