Because marvel got a lot of criticism for not having enough female empowerment in their movies so now they're trying to hanfist it in everything they do. For example, that one scene in the final battle of endgame. Couldn't have been more overt if they tried.

To be clear: I am not against female empowerment and representation in movies, I think diversity is good and makes things more interesting but its pretty obvious marvel is just responding to criticism by going the lazy route. Instead of creating a nuanced an interesting female character they just make their power level insane or have some weird, out of place scene that would never take place and call it a day.
