It's way too late for this but I'm gonna write it anyway; I simply don't believe stories that go on about guys saying how they would beat the shit out of a trans person/non-binary person/woman.

I went to a high school with a class that had at least a bit of all the cliques in it, there were about three or four guys that were like the epitome of jock/chav stereotype. Good at sports, laughing idiotically when presented with Ingres' Turkish Bath at art history class because lol naked 'fat' women and making improper comments about women, however the catch was, they were joking. It was always all a joke to them. And no girl that hung out with them took them seriously, because they knew that it was a joke - and a LOT of girls did hang out with them, as platonic friends. When not making jokes, they were normal human beings that had the same capacity of being understanding as the women in my class did. Not all of them, but most, and the one that I can recall was a total prick was the guy that honestly just seemed like he was horribly raised.

This group would make fun of my gay friend as a running joke since day one, but he never cared, because he knew it was a joke. Once when we were on a trip and he was talking to them more privately, he admitted that they were not being rude at all and actually held a decent conversation ABOUT the lgbtq lifestyle.

I was the brooding punk outcast in my highschool days, hanging out with the afore mentioned gay friend and this hella dark metalhead gamer girl, and we would constantly judge the 'cool kids' because we were little judgemental pricks (we were horrible lmfao, thankfully we all grew out of it), but when i would talk to one of them alone, they were never jerks to me.

The gay friend had a presentation on transsexuals once at sociology class, and they didn't laugh at it or mock it. They listened. Everyone listened.

Idk in what direction this is even going when i started writing this lmao, but i just get so sick of the 'this boy in my class said this really horrible thing and then i punched him and everyone applauded' story, because i hated that type of crowd too when i was in high school, but then i grew up and realized 'well actually they weren't that bad and i was just blowing it all up in my head', but i know that these tumblr idiots won't learn this once they get out of high school. they won't accept the fact that they too were an over-emotional hormonal teenager, they will remain the saint, and everyone will remain the demon. I know what teenagers people act like, and they usually don't act like what fake 'everyone applauded' stories describe.

so yeah this has been a non-binary person standing up for the white jock boys, bloody sue me, tumblr.
