Those of you out there who travelled instead of saved in your 20s. Where are you now?

Barely getting by, dealing with health and poverty isn't fun.

Travelled loads throughout 20's, had adventure and loved life. Built up a network of friends, found good paying jobs from this network. Ended up having a fairly successful career but wasn't entirely satisfied, with the career or in life. Wanted to continue to travel and wanted a change in career but figured I'd save up for an education and then keep traveling with new career. All went to pot, now poor, none the wiser and sick. Yay! If I could have done it differently, I would have worked my way up in career, made more money and banked it. No amount of the time I spent traveling makes up for being broke and worrying about health.

TL;DR: not a sob story - travelled, worked, earned money, wanted a change of career instead got sick, now poor and no better off. Would save every penny if I had the chance to do it all again. Experiences do nothing to help a person when poop hits the fan.

I already know I'm going to get slated for this comment. :/
