I accidentally got this girl that would frequent the restaurant I worked at to be abducted/ killed? she would frequent the bar constantly and we built a friendly/flirtatious relationship. what i did not know as she had failed to mention was that she had a boyfriend. the other important fact was that he worked security for the plaza where my restaurant was located meaning he could visually watch her as she would be in the bar. well he must have seen me flirting with her as that is the only way he could come to the following conclusion During one of our club nights she came thru, got pretty drunk, and proceeded to leave with her friend. I talked to her a bit, but I was still working and she left around 1ish am. The next day, she and her friend came to the bar as normal but she had some questions: "what happened last night?" "how long was i here?" and those questions progressed to "was I alone with you last night?" "did we kiss?" Now granted if the opportunity arose, I would have made out with her. But it had not. While she goes to the restroom, her friend asks "so did you kiss her? someone said they saw you" i respond no. the chic comes back from the restroom. i catch her one more time before she leaves and she tells me "Im scared of my boyfriend" I respond something like don't be as nothing happened between us. Fast forward to the next day and there is cops at our restaurant, asking questions. they only talk to my boss. later I learn from some of the other employees that the girl has gone missing, her keys and purse inside the car with the door open. things start clicking and i cant believe it. turns out the boyfriend told his family that he was leaving and he did not show up for work the next day hence why the police think he abducted her. it sucks because I didn't take her words seriously and i could have done something to prevent it. i still think about her from time to time, and hope for her safety.
