Those who have been extremely careful this entire year and ended up testing positive. How do you think you got infected?

I’ve been extremely cautious of everything I did since this virus became a pandemic in March 2020. I bought Lysol wipes, hand sanitizers, masks, shoe wraps, etc. everything I thought we needed if, heaven forbid, anyone in my household got infected with the virus. I did all this in February/March, however, ever since then.. as I mentioned, I was extremely cautious. I only went out to grocery stores, followed health guidelines, and taken serious measures to protect myself, and the people in my household safe. I would self-isolate including the people in my home before we would see our family and friends, that’s how serious I took it.

Therefore, in November when the cases were so low in our region.. I slightly let my guard down, and we started to visit more family members, I would go to shopping retails stores.. mind you, I would still wear a mask, keep hand sanitizers with me, and have a pack of Lysol wipes in the vehicle.. however, as prepared as I was for anyone in my household to get the virus, and even I followed all health guidelines.. I was the one to catch the virus.

I was prepared for that type of thought of someone catching the virus in my household but at the same time, I kept questioning “why me?” Why me when I was the one to follow health guidelines? Why me when I did everything I could right? Etc.. but my case is deemed unexplained exposure, so who knows where I got it from. Btw all my close contacts came back negative at the beginning of their isolation, and at the end. THANK GOD. but to this day, I don’t know how I got the virus.

But anyways, I don’t mean to make you feel or make you think that you should shelter yourself.. but everyone has to know that this virus is an invisible monster.. I caught it, and idk how I did, even our local health unit can’t pinpoint how I got it.. but keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t let your guard down even for a second.
