Those of you who found love in the last place they'd expected it, what's your story?

Oh god, this got long! He was my college professor. We're the same age (I went back in my 30s) and we were both married at the time. I thought he was cute, but it never went beyond that. I took 2 semesters of his courses (his specialty was related to my major), loved his sense of humor. After that last semester we hung out a few times, always in group settings, it was never romantic in any way. Our group even hung out at his house with his wife and kids a few times. A year later, he told us they're getting divorced. That was the last I heard from him for another year or so.

Earlier this year, we made plans to grab a beer to catch up and talk about how much being divorced sucks. After 2 beers, something about the way he smiled at me caught my eye... we had never been alone before and I hadn't thought about it at all but it made me all smiley back. The next day he left the country for a month to teach abroad and soon we were chatting online every day despite the 11 hour time difference but it never crossed the line into full on flirting, just a hint here and there.

We made plans to hang out the day after he came home (he actually asked me to pick him up from the airport - I said no!). We grabbed pizza, he showed me every single picture from his time out of the country, we walked back to his apartment to have a beer and after hours of built up tension he just randomly grabbed me and kissed me! Oh my god, it was incredible!

It's been a few months and we've said the love you's, have afternoons just reading and prepping lessons (I'm a teacher) and our sex just recently made that transition from wild, lusty, new-fling sex to real, emotional lovemaking. But every once in a while we'll run into his current students out in public and he switches back into professor mode and holy shit that's bizarrely hot. I also like to tease him that he gave me a B in one of my classes. :)
