This brings up another point, if Gamer-Gaters 'hated' women, then why would they help raise as much as $60k to help women? The definition of misogyny is a hatred for women; someone who hates women, will not logically raise money to help them because that neglects their ''misogyny''.

Sure, an anti-Feminist can do that. But Gamer-Gate as a whole, also supported CH Sommers, a self-described Feminism. But by the anti-GG narrative, GG didn't support the ''right kind'' of Feminist. GG endorsed CH Sommers; she is an equity Feminist with a P.H.D --- there are different types of Feminists. Many in Gamer-Gate are not proponents of third wave Feminists; hence they prefer the term equity Feminism, the term Feminism has become diluted and disjointed over the years due to radicalism.
But that's the argument I'm using; I'm tackling the claim that Gamer-Gate is about hating women. You need to read my comments; my very first comment is a response which disproves the claim that Gamer-Gate is a misogynist movement. Women in Gamer-Gate are not misogynist, it'd make no fucking sense.
Um.. I'm not going to say all of them. And "hate" is much too strong a word for it. But it's quite possible for a woman to have negative attitudes about other women and feminism. It's not even that uncommon. You never heard a woman say something like "she had it coming" or anything? Women, just like men, can have poor attitudes towards women.
Again, you need to stop cherry-picking. Many Gators hate 3rd Wave Feminists; they do not hate the idea of gender equality. Yes, you'll say ''Feminism is about equality!'' however the term has been browbeaten and diluted over the years by radical Feminists. A Liberal Feminist vastly differs in ideology to a rad-Fem yet they're painted under the same brush.
That's why Feminists like CH Sommers use the term 'equity' Feminist; to separate the strands. Gamer-Gaters, were evidently in support of it.

Citing claims from Brianna Wu is not a valid argument, especially considering this woman sent threats to herself accidentally before covering it up.. Let's start with opinion pieces which echo what you claim ''cannot be proven either way''. A link to Giant-Bomb is just that, especially considering one of the writers who left Giant-Bomb were involved in GJP.
Anita Sarkeesian did not receive legitimate threats to cancel her talks. The Police force, deemed the threats illegitimate; and again. And again, do you have evidence that Wu left her home instead of her own claim with a ''trust and believe'' attitude?
