Those who said the club was spiraling downward with no hope on sight, what are your opinions now?

I will admit it. I was a doom and gloom guy when Conte arrived, especially with the defensive signing of Luiz. I did not rate Conte over Jose, and did not see enough PSG games to dispell the stigma associated with Luiz. I also couldn't believe that the teams performance, and let's be frank about the unprofessionalism of it last year, could be a quick fix accomplished by a managerial change.

I'm very happy to have been proven wrong, but the start of the season wasn't all rosy. It wasn't until after the string of wins and formation change following the Arsenal defeat that I was convinced the club changed for the better. I'm not yet sold on us winning the league easy this season, although it is foolish to deny that we are perhaps in the best position to do so. I probably overreacted with my doom and gloom. That being said, I think what Conte has done, not just tactically, but with the team moral and focus is exceptional. It is a testament to Conte's ability, and I found it hard to believe that an incoming manager that I knew little about could turn things around so quickly when an accomplished and legendary club manager like Jose could not.

It's nice to be wrong sometimes
