To those willing to share, how many years have you been practicing & how much in student loans do you have left?

I worked as a tech so take what I say with a grain of salt. That being said, I also was in school myself and now work as an engineer, so I can sort of relate with going through tough academia. Anyway, every new pharmacist I met when I was a tech, was disappointed. Pharmacist positions are few and far between and most big employers are cutting wages, including pharmacist wages. Sorry. It sucks. Older pharmacists, in their 30s going on 40, still have massive debt.

I've seen what you all go through and know the level of responsibility you bear, but you aren't being compensated fairly. You guys need to unionize. Don't let Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, pill pack, etc assert their power on you. You guys need a pharmacy union.
