I thought I was done dealing with this kind of mentality after I left Home Depot...

If you reread your posts from an outside perspective you will probably see that they are inflammatory.

You actually speak of how you would "kick them" and you DO infer that emotional support animals are not warranted.

Additionally, you richly embellish the ADA act with your own criterion which is not in the ADA. Human Resources Certification requires study of the ADA and rigorous study and testing requisite of certification.

I, myself, do not have a "service" or "support" animal however I am aware of several (actually more than a dozen) persons that DO have PTSD and/or other emotional limitations that do NOT require aid of a $20,000 service animal but they have actually, without aid of mind bending pharmaceuticals or nonsense talk therapy sessions, become acceptably functional with the blessing of companion dogs. Only one is a large breed and NONE have phony registration. In fact NONE have registration as the subject has never come up.

I'm uncertain why you cite the ADA so feverishly and even refer to an "ADA Hotline". Do you, in your employment, actually make emergency calls to the ADA's inquiry phone number to ask about customers? How would that even work? Do you stop what you're doing in your employment and use the company phone to call a hotline and provide a description of the perpetrator and animal and inquire about the health of the customer?

Well. That would be interesting.

On your reference to phony registrations...I have a very great disrespect for those acquiring and exhibiting illicit registration. I've not seen it myself but am much aware of the fact that such sites exist and there are some individuals who THINK they've legally registered their animal AND some that utilize such with blatant disrespect and disregard for legally trained and certified animals. It is illegal to do such.

I also feel that if someone cannot keep control of their companion they need not bring it with them. That's common sense. I feel the same way about screaming, destructive children, shoplifters, drunks, and taking coffee through the store that spills and destroys merchandise or causes the notorious "slip and fall" for which stores pay out sizable settlements. To those who elicit disruption and damage of such... stay home. Those are far more a concern than some wee little animal in someone's shoulder bag.

Before you judge the next person you see with a little animal coming into a place of business please consider that you do not know his/her history and what life may have dealt to them. There are those that struggle to even get to the mailbox and those for whom just GETTING to Target took weeks of anticipation and building up to it. YES.. Agoraphobia is very real though no one is going to walk up to you and explain why Fifi is the reason the first and only place they've been in the last 6 months is your store.

I'd like to share with you a story of an individual plagued by PTSD and Agoraphobia. This individual was able to confront agoraphobia was with his very small Yorkie. It's amazing to everyone and certainly a blessing that after nearly 10 years of being homebound he often ventured out to Walgreen's, the convenience store, and yes, Target.

We pitched in and purchased a stroller for him but the little dog wanted to merrily walk with him through each store. I convinced him to put her in a fabric shoulder tote as I felt it not only safer for the dog (she's tiny) but also to ensure an embarrassing and not so respectful to others accident would not occur.

Unfortunately he passed away quite suddenly last January from an unrelated incident HOWEVER I have heartwarming memories of how he confronted and was able to cope with Agoraphobia with the company of his tiny little Yorkie.

Thankfully no one ever challenged his right to have that little dog with him everywhere he went. He was very soft spoken and frankly, a bit timid and very emotional. He'd likely have reversed his progress.

Thank you
