You said they are objectively bad. If they were objectively bad which you said they are, then no one can like them as objective means it is the same for everyone.

Also how does it ruin stuff. It builds on to themes established. It reintroduces old things and ideas. It talks about how the Jedi aren’t perfect beings like the prequels. It introduces new planets. It never tore down anything. If you’re talking about characters, Han, Leia and Lando are pretty much the same way. Luke shows him as like in ROTJ almost turn away from the light, but him stopping himself. However this time that has worse consequences. Location-wise it spends most time not reusing old locations, but by giving tiny glimpses, so it isn’t overpowering all the new stuff. It doesn’t destroy the PT & OT, but instead builds it.
