Thoughts?

Generally used to refer to Urdu-speaking Indians and Pakistanis who claim to be Yusufzai through their greatX grandfather who migrated to India.

I myself am an Urdu speaker and have a cousin who thought he was of Yusufzai descent due to similar stories in the family; we ended up unearthing old Farsi writings from a greatX grandfather where they talked about migrating to India and mentioned being Orakzai.

So the Yusufzai thing was false, and either way we wouldn’t claim to be Orakzai/Pashtun due to one or two ancestors when we don’t even speak the language or follow the customs. So these “fake Yusufzais” may or may not have Pashtun ancestry, but even if true that wouldn’t make them Pashtuns today.
