Thoughts on cinema experience redefined

Hyper-capitalism has ruined movie theatres for me. There’s too much of a process and too many distractions that have nothing to do with the film. And the separate “classes” of theatre seats is just ridiculous and pathetic to a different degree.

Also I feel like for the past 5 years or so we’ve been so inundated with content that the concept of seeking out culture by going to a theatre has sort of lost its charm. Not to mention that most films are deplorable and going simply to enjoy the novelty of the technology is no longer a thing. Nothing feels surprising or charming anymore because there’s just too much of it. I’ve seen YouTube videos with better cinematography than some Hindi films.
