My old roommate was stunning, did yoga, well travelled, was a lawyer and owned multiple houses in other states. She was also in her mid forties and desperately wanted a baby. She would get dates but little ever came of them. She was all business and too wrapped up in work and travel. I can see where men might’ve felt like a sperm donor/piece of meat.

People want to be loved for who they are. Not for their house, car, job, athletic abilities etc. Thats the sprinkles on top. You want the cake, the frosting. You want the nitty gritty. You want a good person with standards and I don’t think many know how to demonstrate that on a date.
