Thoughts on Dale Partridge?

Disclaimer: This is based on my experience and interactions with Dale, plus what I have read about him over the years. I do not hold a favorable opinion of Dale, his work, or his methods, and have provided links to relevant stories and content that I hope you find useful. I knew Dale when he lived in California, we are from the same home town and attended the same church where we met. I like to keep tabs on his current wild claims because it is so entertaining and I marvel at how well he has done with it. Back in 2010 when we met, he had all kinds of businesses he claimed to have founded, but none of them really seemed to exist. Dale does not like to be questioned and I was uneasy about some of his claims early on since they were so outlandish. Dale does have a way with dominating a conversation and because most people don't want to be rude he hardly faced direct challenges about his claims and created a following of other young people early on. He first told me about his new chain of Christian Coffee Shops, that never existed called Revive Lounge, then I learned about Thirty Below 30 was his first attempt at becoming a business guru with a subscription based website. Thirty Below 30 was like 'Start-Up Camp' but with $7 from every membership goes to support micro finance in the third world. Other than a YouTube video and a site that is now down, I don't think it was ever a real company. His first book was part of the Thirty Below 30 program and was called "Make it Happen" which was a self-published eBook and then Thirty Below 30 was flipped and became the Identity Conference, they even reedited some of the original video from Thirty Below 30 and used it for Identity Conference. Dale created the free conference so he could make himself one of the speaker and promote his first book. In my opinion he has always used faith and poverty porn as a tool to drive his message, marketing, and sales. Other companies from the years I knew him included Legwork Creative Group besides a few YouTube videos there is ZERO evidence to back up the claims he made that they were "Voted Best Orange County marketing firm " when the company was based in Highland (that’s in another county) and from what I have found had no major clients or work to show. Another Legwork Video. Then there is the rock climbing gym, which was 100% real… sort of. They talk about his Chain of Climbing Gyms in this LA Times story, there was one gym in Corona/Riverside California, not a chain. The one gym was bought by a larger chain, but he makes it sound like he took the gym from one location and built it into a chain. In this story the real facts come out that he was 'fired' from his own gym by his partners for being a “horrible leader.” He has told a version of this story a few times, but didn't seem to learn his lesson because as you will read further down, something similar happened at Sevenly. So in his book "People over Profit" talks about building long lasting sustainable businesses by putting people first (something from what I can tell he has never done), he talks about all the companies he has started, and the "Millions in Revenue" he has generated. He claims to have made $200K+ a year as a freelance graphic designer for a t shirt company, and over $275K a year consulting in this video, but he offers no evidence other than just saying it. I also find it hard to believe that he was a six -figure generating graphic artist because when he launched Sevenly one of his first campaigns appropriated artwork from a well-known European graphic artist Andrei Robu. There is a lot more to that story but it is for another time, if you follow the link in Andrei's Tweet it will take you his Facebook page with more info. His company, Sevenly, that his whole book is based on was pumped full of VC after their quick rise, which was drained on all kinds of ego projects, like moving the company to prestigious addresses, a reality TV show pilot, and a bunch of wild stuff that didn't seem to be core to growing a successful apparel brand or helping the people he says he cares about. Today the company that is foundation for his book is having hard times, they downsized, moved out of their fancy Costa Mesa address, they have back orders going back 6 months, and the Sevenly model seems to have collapsed. The company had posted a blog post about their problems in March but later pulled at after getting hundreds of comments from customers wondering where their product was they ordered months ago here is a Wayback Machine grab of the blog post. Their once powerful social media channels have now become a sounding board for their complaints and upset customers. Sevenly has all but stopped posting on Facebook since getting hammed by angry customers. Dale himself, he cashed out in 2014 before all the VC money dried up and moved up north to assume his role as the altruistic guru that will show you how you can make millions by just giving him $79 a month. It was unclear if he was forced out of Sevenly or if he saw what was coming and wanted to get while the getting was good. As far as you saying "he seems so arrogant and kind of like a douche." I believe you would have to be a special kind of narcissist to give yourself the title of "Chief World Changer." When I knew him (and a quick scan of his Social Media profiles) it doesn't seem like he as ever gone on a mission or aid trip to the third world to actually get his hands dirty and help real people. He was more than happy to use their images, stories, and suffering to sell his products though. He is also really proud of the fact that he has "given" so much to charity through his company. He didn't give anything that $7 (now just 7%) from each sale was part of the marketing budget to sell the product. Plus he recently had to settle a lawsuit with his elderly neighbor for going on her property and cutting down her trees so he would have a better view of the mountains from his living room. Lawsuit Settlement Story. Former Sevenly Employees have also talked about how he was a terrible boss, abusive, and arrogant. He even talks about it himself in a blog post HERE. Then there was this whole thing with the Leggings that was timed just before his book was released, her blog (which is now deleted) was full of ads for his book. Oddly enough while they were waging the war against Lustful Leggings, Dale's Pinterest account was full of women in yoga pants... which is just funny. But as they pointed out in their interview Dale is no normal man, he is better than all those sex crazy men who look at women.
