Thoughts on Druid Spells?

Druid fangay, lets do this beginner's guide to good Druid spells:

Lower level spells:

Summon Insects (shut-down target mage, basically a much better version of Miscast Magic)

Armour of Faith (pretty useless but people here think it's good apparently - whenever they argue that Clerics are gold shit)

Doom (I actually don't like in EE, casting time is awful, only using it if I'm trying to Finger of Death something big that's worth the time)

Call Lightning (outdoors)

Resist Fire/Cold (more useful than you think - you just need to remember that you have it when pre-buffing!)

Call Woodland Beings (free Hold Persons + low level Mass Cure @ lvl 4) - pretty funny having these in Wild Magic areas if you can cast them.

Call Lightning (outdoors)

Avengers Get: Chromatic Orb, Lightning, Web (ironically a useful spell to have, just that no one would ever take it except a druid because level 2 spells are so, so bad...)

Level 5+

Insect Plague/Creeping Doom - these spells will flat out win you many, many fights. Actually kind of broken... You can cast it on a Mirror Image and hit the invisible mage. You can cast it on a unit that DIES and it will still go off and hit everything in 30 ft. Insect Plague lasts longer and will shut down mages for longer (twice as long). Creeping Doom will probably just kill the mage in 3 rounds... It applies: Miscast Magic, Fear (if failed save) and Damage over time in RAPID succession (every second).

Iron Skins - about twice as good as Stoneskin, at higher druid levels you'll have twice as many skins and they soak up magic damage on-hit. This spell pretty much lets the Druid do whatever it wants, standing in the middle of the fight with Globe of Blades, Aura of Flaming Death and casting Nature's Beauty or Earthquake all sounds pretty good to me.

Nature's Beauty is great! (when it works) Save or Die (+3, bad modifier, you need to throw at LEAST a Greater Malison for this to work!) and an automatic Blind without a duration (Level 8 Power Word: Blind - great spell! - in a slightly larger AoE, I think? with the right positioning) Does not work vs Undead :(

Summon Greater Elemental - fun to use, overshadowed by Deva/Planetar (like everything in the game)

Elemental Summoning - potentially more useful in that you get 2 elementals in the same spell casting time! I still need to try this out but potentially very strong in creating more problems for then enemy than a single target.

Avenger Druids get: Chaos and Chain Lightning.

The thing to remember about Druids is that they get a LOT of the useful utility Cleric spells: Chaotic Commands, True Seeing, Death Ward, Negative Plane Protection, Defensive Harmony, Strength of One (not actually good but Cleric fanshits think it is). They have an insane amount of offensive spell power if you play them right i.e. NO ONE SHAPESHIFTS A F***ING DRUID!

And at level 15 you'll get 6 level 7 spells.

Avengers get a lot of early spell casting power with Staff of Arundel (playing one now at the moment, it's pretty strong).

Yes, the exp curse sucks. So does everything pre-3 million exp.
