Thoughts on Dwayne Wades kid saying he’s a girl?

Because finding out if one is legitimately trans or has another issue going on is a tricky issue. I'm very happy this person has supportive parents, but it's very dangerous to be too accepting too fast, because with transitioning things can become permanent and irreversible.

Gender identity is very different than sexual attraction, it's easy to determine sexuality because you can feel attraction to certain sexes and such, but with being transgender there's a really large variety of things that can make one feel transgender but being transgender could be the wrong thing, and experimenting is great but people who de transition get hate and once someone says they're trans the sad part is they're usually forced to continue, and if they don't? The "LGBT" Will once again just look like a trend or phase.

A lot of things can cause someone to think they're trans when they're not - body dysmorphia - not conforming to gender roles - history of sexual or verbal or physical abuse - peer pressure

This is absolutely not always the case and I'm absolutely not ignorant to the situation, I'm 16, almost 17, I am transitioning. Doctors won't let me medically transition yet because for years now they're making sure this decision is the right one for me. Because it's permanent. And I do have a history of sexual abuse. They're doing psych evals, therapy, etc. All for my safety.

My concern for this kid is about their safety and the worry that it was influenced by their family for possible homophobic reasons as I read onto it, this child deserves to be safe whether they're transgender female or a homosexual feminine male.

Sorry if this is wonky, I tried explaining things but I'm also half asleep haha
