Thoughts on Jeff

it's been a while since watching season 1, so my memory is spotty, but I like the reintroduction of a Jeff type with Charlie. I liked that Jeff could have a foot in two worlds, and how genuine and kind he was above any other label he had. I don't remember a lot of "yes I'm a jock yes I'm kind yes we exist" that came explicitly from Jeff, which I loved. The next Jeff incarnate with Scott in season 2 was interesting when he decides to stop being a protector and enabler, but he was more adamant on the correlation between being a jock and being a piece of shit and insisting he wasn't bad, much more explicitly than with Jeff. I like that Charlie brings back the Jeff spirit when put to the test; he's able to embody the good moral action and behavior and put it above the title of "jock" or the culture of defending and enabling one another.
