Thoughts on my Lucian R/M's, why do Sneaky/Turtle take Warlord over Blade Weaving? Why?

Blade and spell weaving have downtime. If you theorycraft blade and spell weaving as compared to 2 points in warlord, assuming max stacks of blade AND spell weaving (*which they won't be at max stacks at the start), you still get more damage out of warlord at most points in the game.

Spell weaving actually scales into late game. Just look at the tooltip: increases spell damage by 1,2,3 percent. Once you get to max stacks of spell weaving, by auto attacking, you get 3 percent increase on spell damage. Blade weaving, is actually a nub trap. It increases base ad by 1,2,3 percent. Even if you have 100 base ad, that's only 3 dmg. And it has a downtime. So it's strictly an early game mastery imo, where a point in warlord is worth + 1.5 percent bonus ad (2 percent for the first point), which has no downtime.

Imagine you are playing lucian and you run up to them, auto, q, auto (passive procs)

Your first auto gains no benefit from blade or spell weaving, after your first auto, you have 1 stack of spell weaving for a whopping 1 percent dmg increase on your q. even if HIS Q did 500 dmg, you get an extra 5 dmg "pre mitigation." So you can see why warlord would be more damage in this scenario on your q. Theoretically, putting 3 points in warlord and taking both blade and spell weaving would be the most damage. But you give up some of these masteries to do so: frenzy, feast, dangerous game (as well as a point in executioner)

In summation: blade weaving is a nub trap/early game mastery that which is never worth more than a few ad and comes with a massive downtime. Spell weaving and warlord combined together are the most damage late game. If you consider all of that, spell weaving + warlord is the way to go.

For these reasons, corki is the best user of blade weaving in conjunction with his passive. Nearly every other ad carry doesn't have enough spells to keep blade weaving stacked. You can make the argument for lucian, but he's still got way more downtime on those 2 masteries than corki. Spell weaving, is undoubtedly good on these 2 champs.
