Thoughts on preordering

The more and more I've seen terrible designs posted here where people made 100 tees that are going to end up in the garbage, the more the idea of preorders starts to appeal to me.

If you are on top of your business, there isn't any reason the preorders should take more than 7-10 days to fulfill, which isn't a terrible wait time considering it's more environmentally sustainable and financially makes more sense.

if you do preorders, make sure you have a real product and product shots though, preorders where it's just an art file pasted onto a mockup are a whole different story and seem lazy and like a cash grab. I've seen a ton of mockup preorders where I know there isn't any way the product is going to look anything like the mockup.
