Thoughts on Science Fiction Modules

I don't know how DCS treats clipping or if it models structural stress (like if you switched to gerwalk or battleroid at some extreme speed) but all of those use cases would likely be issues.

While I've never worked on a DCS mod, I would be extremely surprised if any of the concerns you have are intrinsic to DCS. It wouldn't model something structural stress because they expect developers to implement their own handling of that stuff. There's just no way DCS is dynamic to the degree you're probably thinking (like KSP), because it's too realistic to have a generalized approximation. Plus, leaving it to the developers to write their own also lets them create something that is most realistic for their airframe.

TL;DR: An animation played in DCS is probably just that: an animation. I doubt any visible model geometry has inherently physical consequences in DCS.
