I’m not concerned with the book. This whole thread began with someone claiming that white autistic boys don’t mask because they don’t have to. I responded that I didn’t mask because I couldn’t and I would have been better off if I could. Then you told me that I would have had it worse if I were not white, which was entirely irrelevant to my statement, but I guess you successfully baited me there, so point to you.
But please explain your comment. If I’m a white guy in a class full of other white people and I’m being bullied for being the weird kid, where is the privilege? I had to be privileged relative to someone, but I honestly don’t know who you think that was. Someone in a different town who didn’t attend my school?
Please provide some sort of example. This is baffling.
