Thoughts on USANA?

I had a friend who got recruited into USANA last year. She wanted to lose weight and one of her friends was a director from USANA and urged her to try their products and she did. Couple months later, she joined and was told by the director friend that she would be the perfect model in showcasing their products. She started attending all the seminars and marketing training almost everyweek, flying all over the US with the director friend. She told me that her plan was to grow a team in Philippines because it was an untapped market. Her husband saw how passionate she was and agreed to give her $15k to start it.. which sounded insane to me at that time!! I told her to be careful about these companies, but she said she knew what she was doing. She tried recruiting me during that convo. The last time i saw her was before her trip to the Philippines. Just couple months ago, she texted me from the Philippines and asked me if i could send her some money, bc she's out of funds and she's getting a divorce with her husband and he cut all her funds and she needs money for rent. She never really went to detail of what really happened to me, but is it a coincidence or what?
