Thousands ofHigh schoolers protesting at city hall

The magnitude of the Clinton fuck up is going to around for years due to the supreme court nomination.

Just a suggestion, maybe start funneling frustrations into productive efforts. Not saying I necessarily agree with the below but there are some obvious issues that work can begin:

  • Enshrine women's rights in state law: It looks like the abortion issue is going to be pushed back to the states at some point in the near future. Ensure existing laws fully support a women's right to chose even without federal support.

  • 2nd Amendment: Apparently, Trump is a CCL holder and is going to push the states' duty to recognize out of state licenses using the same mechanism that justified compelling states to recognize out of state same-sex marriages. Not sure what can be done here but it deserves a review. Perhaps ensure a moderate party narrative on the issue to ensure passage of safe and sane regulation without the dialogue devolving into an argument of extremes ('total ban on everything but flintlock muskets ' vs 'fuck you I deserve a bazooka').

  • Illegal Immigrant rights: Not sure what can be done. Most of Obama's policies were enacted via executive order and re-prioritizing enforcement so they are not permanent an can be undone in a similar fashion. Start setting up support groups and/or networks? Not sure.

  • Sanctuary city funding: Start hiring lawyers and look into budget structures to see if there's anyway to minimize the impact.

  • Environment. Ensure that laws are up to expectations and can operate without any federal support.

  • LGBQT Rights. Again, ensure that laws are up to expectations and can operate without any federal support.
