Thousands protest against NATO ahead of key Madrid (Spain) summit

Interesting. Dunbars number is a cool concept, and makes sense. Although id have to give some pushback in that just because you cant carry on a first-name-basis relationship with someone doesnt mean that you simply dont care about them.

Group dynamics really come into play here. If you find yourself in a foreign country and run into a compatriot you instantly gravitate towards them, and soccer games seem to organise group feelings and togetherness among strangers as well.

Theres no reason to believe that just being in large groups somehow turns off cooperation. It does get more specialized though.

So really, it seems like it can be the other way around: the societal situation kinda moulds humans into fitting the niches that society needs.

As for money, again, who knows. Its lost to time. It seems to function as economic lubrication, just facilitating the running of a society with a division of labour.

Unfortunately i dont think money has anything to do with maintainign a sense of the value of work (which is kinda a marxist theory isnt it? The labour theory of value).

I think money is kinda haphazard and just accumulates where it accumulates.

There is probably a NEGATIVE correlation between ones function in society and their stockpile of cash.

For example, ruthless monopolistic behaviour is great for accumulating money, but actually hurts society.

None of that really
