Thousands of Seattle students told to get vaccinated, or don’t come back after winter break

Why is it such a hardship for someone to not have peanut butter to protect another kid from possibly dying? Who would make that argument? An epipen in a backpack does no good unless it's with them everywhere they go, not to mention that someone needs to know how to use it. If it's a small child they won't know how, and if you expect the school to be training everyone on recognizing the signs of anaphylaxis and when/how to administer an epi you would be sorely mistaken. When having a life threatening allergic reaction seconds count. If you are that selfish and self centered to think it's absurd to avoid a life threatening situation for a child, and allergy free kids have the right to their damn pb&j, then what can I really say? It's absurd to me that someone who views anti vaxxers negatively, doesn't view a pb&j activist negatively.

Now on the flipside, peanuts are not the only life threatening Allergen and plenty of kids suffer from other top 8 allergies. A common allergen in the top 8 that isn't banned is milk. Just as life threatening as peanuts. So where do you draw the line? In my perspective it's no harm to ban an Allergen, so I have no qualms over peanuts not being allowed. But it isn't exactly logical when you consider there are other common allergens in schools just as dangerous.

Tldr: don't be a dick, eat your pb&j at home, and be glad you and yours don't have shitty allergies to deal with.
