Thousands of women are throwing a guy a dance party after he was body shamed

I hope you all will excuse the wall of text but a friend of mine posted about this story on facebook and someone made a very interesting comment that I agreed with, and then I commented. So I wanted to share both comments below and see what your thoughts are on are opinions

The Friend's Comment: Am I the only one who is thinking bout the reality of how this may turn out? Let's say he actually accepts the offer from the thousands of women who want to pity dance with him...he flies out to LA and meets them all. Then what? They all just go to a rave? Or would it be a private party with an entire group of strangers? And then, would he be under the assumption that these women would want to pursue anything further with him? What would happen if none of them really thought that, and he continually gets shut down one after another...or what if this guy turns out to be a total jerk and pisses too many people off, then the women would feel slighted. I mean, there is a chance that they just simply dance, nothing weird at all happens, and then that's it and he leaves the next day. But humans are too screwy, and there's a high chance our brains would fuck everything up.

My Comment: I was thinking the same thing Jose. I also can't help but think in my cynical (but often right) mind that it's funny to me how many beautiful women are happy to dance with him for this good cause... But how many of their boyfriends (past present or future) look anything like him

That cass girl or that Hope Leigh girl are both saying "come on dancing man come dance with us!"

Trying to prove their more accepting of fat people than mean old society but they wouldn't date one I bet

And let's face it, the appeal of dancing with a bunch of pretty girls is the hope that you can find one to pursue something more with

Otherwise that's like saying "come stand in a room with all the delicious food in the world....that you'll never get to eat, just look at" (and don't lie to yourself if it's just about dancing then why promote this whole "it will just be you and 2000 sexy girls" thing?)

And ps: when did "making fun of fat people" become "body shaming"

I wish there was a new age term to describe how much I hate all these new age terms.

TLDR CLIFFNOTES -What if the guy expects more than just dancing considering it's just him and 1700+ "Beautiful women?" -Is there a little hypocrisy (or whatever word fits better) to the fact that most of the women volunteering to dance with probably wouldn't date him? -Getting to dance with a bunch of beautiful women is almost never just about the dancing... so see points 1 and 2 (and how does it make him feel if all those girls turn him down?) -"Body Shaming" = Making fun of fat people. Please stop with the new age crap.
