Threat Against Campus?

How about you read over my response to that pathetic excuse of an article, and then go back to it and see if you can find one shred of logic in it. That "article" is a joke.

Yeah I edited my response after reading yours because you do make valid points against that article; however, I stand with my stance. Having more guns around is not going to solve the problem.

Because CCW'ers aren't supposed to be out and about, looking for the shooter. They'll be barricaded in rooms, protecting students. If the police hone in on, and see, a man with an assault weapon unloading it on students as they run and scream, I think they'll know what's up.

They aren't supposed to be out and about, but how do you know they won't be? I would not say that it would be unthinkable to have a few "white knights" about.

You can't. And even a trained professional will miss too. Handguns are hard to aim. So in the case of an attacker armed with assault weapons, you'd rather be cornered, defenseless, and helpless, instead of armed, because of the inherent risk of crossfire? People are going to die either way, and an unarmed classroom is literally hopeless. At least if they're armed, they stand a chance. That is where things like non-lethal suppression come in, e.g. tasers and mace. I agree that the policy on weapons should be looser, but I do not agree that more guns = safer environment. Now if every single person with a ccw were guaranteed to be a stable and judicious individual with proper training, then I would be prompted to consider your argument, but it goes without saying that this is far from the case.
