This three-day workshop will teach different methodologies for language immersion acquisition for all ages with a focus on developing speaking skills - deadline to register is March 4

I really wish they'd been able to get the word out earlier. Today is March 2. March 4 is 2 days from now, and on a Sunday. Between now and then are weekends when it's more difficult to do things.

So we need airline tickets at the last minute (to be read: very costly) and reservations at a specific hotel that is $105 a night plus $50 a night for incidentals. (Huh? Never ever heard of a hotel charging that extra thing and I do a fair amount of traveling.) Plus $375 for the conference itself, which is fair.

I doubt I'd learn anything new being there from the sessions in particular given my background, but I have little doubt my presence would have enhanced things and it would have been a good time to meet and share and I'd be happy to do that.

Hopefully in the future they can get the word out further in advance than a couple days notice of a conference.

And hopefully they will video the sessions and make them accessible, assuming their actual goal here is revitalization, which doesn't have to cost a fortune or acquire unneeded tress beyond that which is intrinsic to the whole effort.
