Three Jaquins and a Princess

I didn't expect this to be an episode I especially enjoyed, but I actually liked it a lot, especially the presence of Doña Paloma and Armando, and the amount of Esteban.

Doña Paloma is my second favourite character in the show (I ask again, where is the Doña Paloma flair my heart desires), so any episode with her is a delight. I love her and Esteban's rivalry, and I loved Esteban being super defensive of Armando when Doña Paloma was being dismissive towards him. "No one talks to Armando like that...except me," was easily my favourite line of the night. Also "it is my...duty...to announce the winner of the Avalor bake-off is...[heavy sigh] Chef Armando."

I also liked the interaction at the end of the episode between Isabel and Esteban. Was that the first time we've seen them interact, aside from that moment in King of Carnaval? And I liked the little Spanish game Isabel taught the baby Jaquins.

Doña Paloma and Lady Yolanda are Avalor's greatest lesbian power couple.
